it does 🖤 the size is off because of the resolution mismatch (1080 vs 2160), not the frame rate mismatch. change the resolution to 2160 in sequence settings (I'm guessing you already did that). then open it, click on it in the timeline, go to properties and set scale to 200

okay so this is the overall project structure
sources = input videos. when you import or drag/drop vids into premiere, put them into sources/raw
create a sequence for each of raw vids, and put the sequences into sources/colorgraded. (you don't need to do any color grading initially but creating the sequences like this lets us come back and do it later)
select all the sequences -> create multicam and name it "multicam-src". right click that -> create sequence, and rename it to multicam-seq. (instead of calling them both "multi", which I think might cause confusion)
duplicate multicam-seq, move that into the fullscene bin and rename it "v1-tiff": that's where you'll do all your editing. then, if I wanna make tweaks to your cut I'll duplicate it as v2-Maeby, and we can iterate from there as needed (v3-tiff, v4-Maeby, etc)
so ^^ literally the same steps you're already doing just with naming/file structure that'll hopefully keep us organized

the short filenames here look weird but they're useful. "12.53.11+11.18" means it starts at 12.53.11 and runs for 11.18 seconds
so, if you open it and Go To In, the playhead (blue circle) will be at 00:12:53:11 and the clip duration (orange circle) will be 00:00:11:18
ftr, 00:00:11:18 means 0 hours, 0 mins, 11 secs and 18 frames. there are 30 frames in a second (in 30fps), so 18 frames is actually 0.6secs (18 / 30) and the clip is 11.6secs long (not 11.18) this is me being nerdy though -- the number of seconds is all you rly need to care about
main point: you can glance through the short filenames and know where each one starts and how long it is, and the "(hitting my spot)" part is just something someone said/did in the clip to remind us what it is.

re 8.13: this edit was based on yours. I made a bunch of small polishing tweaks but nothing big changed with the cuts. smallsony color should be tolerable everywhere but lmk if you see places where its not

The auto sync was locked in my version so I don’t think there was any way for me to drag it, but let me see
they can still get out of sync: in particular, if you try to cut parts out of the video (i.e. skip forward in time) you have to unlock the audio track for it to get cut with it & stay in sync

okay so first off, I know literally nothing about yeast infections. apparently they can mimic HSV in severe cases, and logically that still seems likelier to me than anything else. my brain always jumps to the worst possibility too though. and you know your body and you said this feels *different* and I couldn't unhear that. thus the rabbithole. second off, the odds of you getting it from pegging through panties are negligible -- not impossible, but small enough that I think we can dismiss that. the only way you could realistically have it is if you got it from me. I'm NOT worried about me having HSV2: I've only had unprotected sex with two people since I tested negative in 2019, both were long-term partners and neither had ever been symptomatic before. I also ofc never had protected sex with anyone symptomatic, and asymptomatic transmission w/ protection isn't impossible but also isn't likely. I've kissed more people than I've had sex with in that time though, and statistically most of them (50-70%) had HSV1. I've never had a cold sore, and my body is a drama queen so it's hard to imagine me being one of the people who has it & never shows symptoms. but my brain has fixated on the possibility that I am, and that I was asymptomatically shedding it when we were together, and that I transmitted it to you genitally when I ate you out

I’m trying to sympathize with you, I really am. But from my perspective, if you’ve been kissing or anything with people who have HSV-1, I don’t understand why you wouldn’t be regularly testing for it especially in this industry when you are constantly putting others at risk. I don’t see how you could’ve assumed you didn’t have it. I understand this is scary for you too. But having dormant oral HSV that you’ve never noticed is not the same as what I’m dealing with. For me, this means painful outbreaks, disclosure for the rest of my career, and dating life, and it’s not just a cold sore on my mouth it’s on my genitals. The impact is massively different, and the stigmatism is massively different.
We can stay in touch about testing until either of us get our results, but I don’t think I’m in the headspace to hear what you wanna say to me

I think I might've given you the wrong idea there to some extent. I never had contact with anyone I knew had HSV1. I've never kissed anyone who I had any reason to think had it, or even dated anyone who got a cold sore while we were together (not bc I intentionally avoided them, it just hasn't happened). My fear the other night was purely about probabilities: Most people do have it, and most of them don't know, so the probability of me having been exposed to one of them and NOT knowing was higher than the lightning-strike probabilities we were talking about before. those probabilities were what I was spiraling on, and I wanted to share it because I knew you were spiraling too. The understanding I expressed that first night you asked was my understanding when we were together: I didn't know how common it was for people to have HSV without ever having an outbreak, and I certainly didn't know it was possible to have it orally and transmit it genitally without ever having one: I thought transmission was only possible during or right before an outbreak even for oral-oral, let alone oral-genital. The only time I've ever had anything that looked like a sore was in 2019: I had a weird red spot above my dick that I fear-spiraled into thinking was HSV2, got it swab-tested (negative) then got an antibody test 6 months later just to be sure and check my baseline exposure (also negative). I hadn't been tested since then until today because (a) I hadn't had any hint of symptoms, and as we're both now painfully aware HSV is only tested for when there are hints of symptoms, (b) I hadn't had contact with anyone who I thought might've exposed me to it, and (c) I didn't appreciate how common asymptomatic cases are, or the risks of fully-asymptomatic transmission (esp oral to genital). I should have, especially as someone in the industry. I don't think we were being reckless or irresponsible, because I think we were both doing what our doctors and the industry have told us to do to be "safe", but it clearly wasn't enough, and I could've done more, and I'll never stop regretting that I didn't if our fears come true here. I'm just so fucking sorry, tiff. I have more to say, but I'm spinning my wheels trying to get it out and wanted to send this much for now

antibody results are numeric. under 0.9 = negative. over 1.1 = positive. btw 0.9 and 1.1 = questionable. most positive tests are between 2.5 and 10
I'm a 1.7 -- so, positive. but in the range where he'd normally want to do another test to confirm (your number fluctuates, so if 1.7 was a high day for me I could easily be below the threshold on a low one)
he agreed there's no way you got it from pegging through panties tho. so, you def got it from me, and he said that convinces him I'm a "true positive" more than the blood test does (he went on a 5min rant about how he hates these test
so, yeah, I'm officially HSV1+ now too... 🎉

I'm sorry I took so long to reply to that. for the record, "unsaid stuff" would've bothered tf out of me too. I'm also sorry I'm about to send another wall of text -- I rly don't like these either 😳
It's easy for me to imagine this killing us: It'd be a crazy heavy thing to try to get past, and walking away would be so much easier for both of us than trying to repair what's been broken. and like we just met, so walking way seems like the objectively sane thing to do. Subjectively though, what we had felt special to me. Connecting with someone on the level we connect is rare for me period. Connecting as easily and naturally as we did is even rarer, and I've literally never felt that happen on a professional and personal level at the same time like it did with you. And like, us meeting at a moment when our careers are so aligned and we're available in compatible ways, and then our chemistry being so ⚡ and everbody gushing about it... all felt like kismet to me. like lowkey meant to be. I think we're really good at bringing out the best in each other, and I'm excited enough about what we can bring out and what I can imagine us doing together that the "insane" choice to not walk away makes sense to me. If it does to you too, and you wanna try, it's also not hard for me to imagine us getting through this and being stronger on the other side (esp if I'm right about our connection being something special). We'd need to prove our emotional chemistry is as ⚡ as our other chemistries are (which doesn't exactly feel clear at the moment), but like yea, bet. tbc, I'd killlll for this not to have happened, because you have to live with consequences I don't, and we'll both have to find ways to make peace with that. but if we can, I can imagine this being a wild ending to an already-epic origin story, and I'm here for trying to make that plotline happen if you are.

You were trusting me not to let you get hurt, and you immediately got hurt in a permanent & devastating way. Your trust in me (and the respect for me that your trust was grounded in) are both obviously shattered, and there's an emotional wound there that no amount of contextualizing or intellectualizing will ever make go away. But: If the situation was reversed, and I thought the story played out as simply as I just put it, I'd have a hard time letting go of resentment for your carelessness too. I don't think the story was that simple, and I think talking through why and how it happened intellectually might help you shift from being purely angry at me toward feeling something more nuanced. I can't imagine us really getting past this without that happening. I also think that convo might be hard and frustrating in other ways tho, which is why I'm notttttt in a rush to have it, and why I think we might end up wanting to break it up into parts

They’re gonna be getting into contact with the host about what he wants to do because I’m assuming since you already checked in six days ago, the whole process is gonna look a little different We can get a contract drafted up to protect both in saying how I will send you half of your money back and then after you rebook the Airbnb and I get my refund will send the remainder portion I owe you back to protect both of us, and we can even add into the contract to me shipping your clothes back if that makes you feel more comfortable The healthiest thing for both of us is going to be to get this switched so we can have our own space and not have to stay in contact until November 3

AirbnbI will speak with Airbnb now and the situation is as follows: Tiff’s reservation will be canceled until Maeby makes a new reservation and gives the payment. Once Maeby makes the payment and i get it in my account then Tiff will get the refund for the days Maeby has stayed at the place under Tiff’s name. If in the scenario that we cancel Tiff’s reservation and Maeby doesn’t make the payment until Monday then he will need to check out of the place and Tiff will get no refund. I want to do my best to accommodate you but also want to be clear upfront and covered

yeah this is fucking insane. tl;dr my Venmo account is temporarily frozen because I tried too many times to push the payment through to Airbnb via my Venmo debit card (which TIL has a limit of $3k a day). Hi Tiff i just spoke with Airbnb. The original refund you received includes this payment (although you hadn’t made it yet). The refund you received was estimated based on the whole amount of your reservation, not the amount you had paid so far. I am not sure of the exact amounts, cause Airbnb charges a fee on top of my payout, but i know that Airbnb doesn’t charge guests the whole amount amount, but breaks it into monthly installments. In your case, Airbnb calculated the refund that you are being owed based on your total cost of the reservation (not just the amount you had paid so far). In other words, the refund includes this 2nd payment
From the price you told me of what I would be charged per night the refund isn’t adding up if the total stay was $6023 then how does a 10 day stay add up to costing me $2675?? and Maeby, since this is the case, you still owe me money
That would mean you charged those nights at a rate of $267/night, which again was not agreed upon

I’m only bringing this back up because since I was unconsentually given herpes by a stupid man who thought it was unimportant knowledge to know and it’s like so severally traumatized me and now it’s like so impossible to trust anyone AND I’ve recently heard from a few different people that if I don’t feel comfortable telling someone that I wanna sleep with, I don’t have to tell them (because it is something I can be ashamed about at times) but that is 100% NOT the case!!
